This historic image was captured in the Republic of Chad, depicting the arrival of the Chief of this Canton, who’d made his appearance in order to see that the Smallpox Eradication/ Measles Control Program team members were treating his people in an appropriate, orderly manner. This picture was captured during that country’s participation in the worldwide Smallpox and Measles control programs of the 1960s and 1970s.
