This woman and child were patients who were being seen at a temporary clinic in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, during operation Continuing Promise, 2008, an equal-partnership mission between the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana, bringing much needed public health assistance, and education to the inhabitants of these countries.
