This image depicts a patient’s penis, upon which the glans penis and prepuce displayed lesions diagnosed as balanoposthitis, which was determined to be due to an allergic reaction to the antibiotic, tetracycline. Balanitis involves the inflammation of the glans penis, but when it involves the cutaneous tissues of the foreskin, or prepuce, as was the case here, it is more precisely known as balanoposthitis.
