Caption:
This female patient presented to a clinical setting with what was determined to be a cutaneous fungal infection known as candidiasis, caused by the fungal organism of the genus, Candida. In this case, the intertriginous areas of overlying belly fat, harbored the organisms, allowing them to become prevalent enough to prove pathogenic, causing irritation, inflammation, and areas of cutaneous ulceration.
