This photomicrograph of a rabbit kidney tissue sample, revealed some of the histopathologic changes associated with a Candida albicans fungal infection, in a case of renal candidiasis. Not the numerous yeast staged C. albicans organisms, some of which were undergoing the reproductive process known as budding.
