This was a 1968 celebration in Ghana honoring a child from that region, Rebecca Ansah Asamoah, who was the world’s 25-millionth smallpox vaccinee. In this particular scene, numbers of visiting dignitaries, and Ghanaian tribal Chieftains, were introducing themselves to one another beneath a thatched canopy.
