Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural features exhibited by a species of dematiaceous mold of the genus, Cladosporium. Here, you can see chains of conidia, or spores, emanating from atop a brown-colored conidiophore, jutting perpendicularly from a darkly colored, septate hypha.
