Caption:
This patient had been inoculated with a number of different arthropodal antigens, in order to see which of them would induce an allergic reaction on his skin. Though all produced immediate reactions, the spider antigen produced a reaction that was larger than all the others. Included in this test, were allergens from aphids, mites, beetles, and mosquitoes, all producing a raised wheal at the site of their respective inoculations.
