This image depicts a close view of a Petri dish culture plate that contained a blood agar growth medium, which had been inoculated with the bacterium, Streptococcus constellatus. Note the round, white, slightly fuzzy edged colonial morphology exhibited by this organism that resulted after plate incubation.
