This is the tenth in a series of images, PHIL 16989 through 17013, depicting a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Public Health Library and Information Center (PHLIC) exhibit entitled, Bringing the World Home: CDC’s Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) Celebrate Peace Corps Week 02/23/14 – 03/01/14. Acquired in Tegucigalpa, Honduras by RPCV, Carla Lee, this painting represented what is a typical Honduran community scene, depicting brightly colored dwellings covered by what appeared to be barrel tile roofs. The painting had been placed into a carved wooden frame. Ms. Lee’s tour as a PCV took place from 1984-1986.
