This is the nineteenth in a series of images, PHIL 16989 through 17013, depicting a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Public Health Library and Information Center (PHLIC) exhibit entitled, Bringing the World Home: CDC’s Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) Celebrate Peace Corps Week 02/23/14 – 03/01/14. You are looking at two artifacts crafted in the Republic of Honduras. In the background was a t-shirt that had been embroidered with a map of Honduras, crafted in the town of Tela, and donated by RPCV, Carla Lee, during her Honduran Peace Corps tour of 1984–1986. In the foreground was a painting that had been executed on a piece of raw wood, depicting a typical Honduran town, and was crafted in the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa. The painting had been donated by RPCV, Leticia Davila, which she acquired during her Honduran Peace Corps tour of 2011–2012.
