This is the twenty-fifth in a series of images, PHIL 16989 through 17013, depicting a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Public Health Library and Information Center (PHLIC) exhibit entitled, Bringing the World Home: CDC’s Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) Celebrate Peace Corps Week 02/23/14 – 03/01/14. Crafted in the Guatemalan municipality of Todos Santos Cuchumatán, this display featured the typical clothing worn by Mayan men in Todos Santos, otherwise known as tipicos. The brightly colored shirt was highlighted by a purple and red themed collar, midline stripe, and pocket accents, and was donated by RPCV, Sara Andrist, which she acquired during her Volunteer work from 2005–2007, in Guatemala.
