This image was used in a text entitled, Dixon, Tiller County/USA: A Teaching Reference Community, by Robert E Sanders, which was used to instruct readers in what is entailed in the implementation of appropriate public health infrastructure in newly created communities. In this slide, a water treatment plant was depicted, with its treatment pools running from the foreground into the background, in which was contained water in various stages of purification, the end result being potable drinking water.
