Caption:
This image depicts a view of a patient’s torso, who had presented with an erythematous, papular rash, which was later diagnosed as a case of heat rash, a skin irritation caused by excessive sweating during hot, humid weather. This particular form of the disease is the most commonly encountered type, known as miliaria rubra, whereupon, obstructed sweat glands begin leaking their contents into the surrounding epidermal layers, causing localized inflamed, blister-like lesions, with accompanying itching, and anhidrosis, or cessation of the sweat reaching the skin surface.
