This image depicts a close colposcopic view of a cervix, in the case of a patient, who had presented to a clinical setting with a cervical inflammation, known as cervicitis. Note what appears to be a cord attached to an implanted intrauterine device (IUD). Note the edematous, and erythematous appearance of the cervix.
