Entitled, “Seniors at a Chinese Senior Center”, this image shows a group of Chinese seniors practicing the art of Tai Chi, in order to increase their level of physical fitness, as part of CDC’s Healthy Communities Program. The photographer, Public Health Advisor, Phyllis Nichols, MPH, earned a tie for the Third Place award in the 2009 CDC Connects Annual Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the category of “International Programs”.
