This April 2012 photograph, depicted Haitian Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) resident, and medical epidemiologist, Samson Marseille, MD, as he was in the process of investigating an outbreak of acute bloody diarrhea in the commune of Arcahaie, located in Valadon, Haiti. The island nation sustained severe damage to its infrastructure after it was struck by the 2010, 7.0 magnitude earthquake.
