This image depicted a gathering of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officers, attending a symposium highlighting special investigations into food-borne Vibrio parahaemolyticus outbreaks. The conference took place in the city of Zhapo, in the Guangdong province of China, in September 2012. The image was submitted by Chinese Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) resident, Zhang Heng.
