Under a magnification of 570X, and processed using a fluorescent antibody (FA) staining technique, this photomicrograph of a sample extracted from a patient’s nasal lesion, revealed the presence of Cryptococcus neoformans organisms, as evidenced by the mass of glowing blue fungal cells.
