Created in June 2014, by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Deputy Branch Chief of the Global Tobacco Control Branch, Sheila Porter, MPA, this image depicted a street scene in the capital city of Hanoi, Vietnam, in which you could see a seated Vietnamese man, who was smoking from a long wooden cylindrical pipe. Sheila and her cohorts were in the country meeting with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health (MoH), on what she referred to as an engagement mission, the objective of which was to conduct a Global Adult Tobacco Survey. This was one of the entries in the 2015 CDC Connects, Public Health in Action Photo Contest.
