This image was created in November 2014, by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Scientist, Aaron Sussell, PhD, MPH, and depicted a Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) nurse demonstrating the act of donning personal protective equipment (PPE), which would be worn by healthcare providers, when treating an Ebola patient in a medical intensive care unit (ICU). This nurse, and other ICU nurses volunteered to develop preparedness training for the treatment of Ebola patients.
