This photograph depicted two photomicrographs, placed side-by-side for comparative purposes, revealing the histopathologic differences seen in two sections of thyroid gland tissue, in a case of nodular goiter. The image on the left highlighted a focus of hypercellularity, while the section on the right depicted the characteristic cytoarchitectural features seen in a nodular goiter, which included various sized dilated follicles, each filled with colloid.
