Under a low magnification of 4X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the morphologic features exhibited by a human botfly, Dermatobia hominis maggot. This specimen was extracted from a patient’s skin. For closer views of this organism, see PHIL 21333, for a view of its posterior caudal region, and PHIL 21334, for an enlarged view of its head region.
