This 2016 image, depicted a pregnant woman holding an unopened condom package with one hand, while resting her other hand on her stomach. The risk of Zika is of great concern for pregnant women, who can pass Zika to their developing fetus, if infected during pregnancy. Women can become infected by mosquito bites, or by having sex with an infected person. Condoms can help prevent transmission. The woman was wearing long sleeves to prevent mosquito bites.
