This 2016 image, depicted the hands of a pregnant woman holding a mobile phone, which displayed the CDC’s Travelers’ Health website, displaying updates on Zika in Costa Rica. As of 2016, Zika outbreaks were occurring in many countries and territories. The risk of Zika is of greatest concern for pregnant women, who can pass Zika to their developing fetus, if infected during pregnancy. CDC recommends that pregnant women not travel to areas with Zika.
