This was a photomicrograph of a section of kidney tissue, specifically in an area of nephritis, or kidney tissue inflammation, in which can see the breakdown of the nephrons, including the glomeruli, and renal tubules. This condition was brought on by a renal thrombosis, or clotting of one of the kidney’s blood vessels
