Under a magnification of 50X, this photomicrograph of a Grocott-Gömöri methenamine silver (GMS)-stained lymph node tissue specimen, revealed the presence of cytoarchitectural changes indicative of a blastomycosis fungal infection. Note the presence of a chronic inflammatory response to the fungal pathogen.
