At a magnification of 500X, this photomicrograph of a liver tissue specimen reveals histopathologic changes associated with infectious hepatitis, now known as hepatitis A. Note the presence of a pronounced inflammatory infiltrate surrounding the components of the portal triad, including the bile duct, portal vein, and hepatic artery.
