This historic photograph shows a street poster announcing the monetary reward offered for reporting smallpox cases to public health Smallpox Eradication authorities. The poster was displayed at the entrance to the Cholera Hospital compound and Smallpox Eradication Office, and had been arranged by World Health Organization (WHO) epidemiologist Marc A. Strassburg, MPH, DrPH. The image was captured in Dacca (Dhaka), Bangladesh, in July or August 1975.
