Caption:
This photograph depicted a right lateral view of a patient’s right foot revealing a swollen appearance, and numerous soft tissue lesions, which had been due to a chronic inflammatory fungal disease known as maduromycosis, and more specifically, eumycetoma. The fungal organism was not identified. This disease is usually found to involve the feet, and is therefore, referred to as madura foot. See PHIL 24219, for a lateral view of this foot’s condition.
