This image shows a close view of a newborn infant’s right hand presenting with an embryonal sarcomatous lesion. The patient’s axillary lymph nodes tested positive for involvement. The infant underwent an above-elbow amputation followed by treatment with chemotherapeutic agents. At a 2.5-year follow-up, the child was doing well and was considered cured. See PHIL 24318 for another view of this infant’s condition.
