This image shows a posterior view of an infant’s head, neck, and torso, revealing a reddish-brown macular rash consistent with urticaria pigmentosa (maculopapular cutaneous mastocytosis). This is the same patient depicted in PHIL 24346, shown at a later date, demonstrating increased pigmentation of the lesions. These macular lesions represent abnormal accumulations of mast cells.
