Caption:
This image, obtained during necropsy of a turkey (Meleagris species), shows pathologic changes of the air sacs consistent with aspergillosis resulting from inhalation of fungal spores. A large, thickened plaque is present on the air sac surface, representing coalescence of smaller plaques, some of which are also visible nearby.
