Caption:
This image shows an incised segment of canine intestine exposing the mucosal surface. A stricture is present, consistent with aspergillosis caused by Aspergillus species. The affected intestinal wall demonstrates transmural involvement with associated inflammatory nodules on the serosal surface. Image courtesy of Dr. J.E. Neal of Alabama. See PHIL 24978 for another view of this finding.
