This transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of Toxoplasma gondii undergoing endodyogeny, characterized by the internal formation of two daughter cells within the mother cell. As daughter cell assembly progresses, the maternal cytoplasm is progressively incorporated. This process is asexual and does not involve nuclear conjugation.
