This photograph shows a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate containing a single Nocardia dentocariosus bacterial colony, designated strain X-529. The plate, prepared with blood heart infusion (BHI) agar and incubated for 7 days, produced a rough-type colony of N. dentocariosus; however, a smooth variant region is visible at its center.
