This image depicts the results of an Ouchterlony, double immunodiffusion test, also referred to as an agar gel immunodiffusion test, or passive double immunodiffusion test, that had been conducted to prove the presence of the hydatid antigens in the central well marked A, while the known antisera are placed in the surrounding wells marked 1 – 6. Note the resultant precipitin arcs that had manifested.
