This photograph depicts four nutritional test tube slant cultures inoculated with Trichophyton verrucosum, used to assess the effect of thiamine (vitamin B1) on colony growth. The composition and results for each tube are as follows:

- Tube 1: Casein only = No growth

- Tube 2: Casein + inositol = No growth

- Tube 3: Casein + thiamine = Moderate growth

- Tube 4: Casein + thiamine + inositol = Moderate growth

These results demonstrate enhanced growth of this strain in the presence of thiamine.
