Under a magnification of 60X this photomicrograph highlights the morphology exhibited by the fungal organism Pseudallescheria boydii (formerly Allescheria boydii). Note the filamentous hyphae giving rise to conidiophores bearing smooth, round, unicellular conidia; some conidia are also attached directly to the hyphae.
