This photograph shows a close frontal view of a CDC Lombard-Dowell (LD) Presumpto Plate II quadrant plate containing LD agar supplemented with powdered skim milk. Each quadrant was inoculated with a different unspecified anaerobic bacterium to assess casein hydrolysis, resulting in four distinct milk reactions.
