These quadrants were inoculated with unspecified anaerobic bacteria to assess DNase (deoxyribonuclease) activity. DNA hydrolysis is indicated by a color change in the medium; quadrant 3 demonstrates a positive reaction, while quadrant 4 shows no color change, indicating a negative result.
