Captured in Central America, this image shows an anterior view of a young brother and sister, highlighting early structural changes associated with lepromatous leprosy (Hansen’s disease), caused by Mycobacterium leprae. Note the developing nodularity of the forehead and cheeks in both individuals, as well as early depression of the nasal bridge.
