This historic image, captured in 1963 in the port city of Georgetown, Guiana (now the Co-operative Republic of Guyana), was taken during the country’s polio vaccination campaign. It shows one of the local polio vaccination centers, where parents brought their children to receive doses of the polio vaccine.
