Caption:
This photomicrograph reveals ultrastructural details exhibited by a rhabditiform larva of an unidentified hookworm, representing its early, noninfectious, immature stage. The human hookworms include two nematode genera, Ancylostoma and Necator. Larvae can become infective, during their filariform developmental stage, within feces, and/or soil, and can then be passed to humans on contact.
