This 1975 photograph was taken during an epidemiologic investigation of an encephalitis outbreak in an unidentified location in the states of North Dakota and western Minnesota. Details of the investigation findings are not available. The image shows a scene at an unidentified airport, where two propeller-driven aircraft were used to conduct aerial surveys assessing the extent of severe flooding in the surrounding area. This image was provided by Dr. John C. Harris of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Bureau of Epidemiology.
