This transmission electron micrograph (TEM), captured at an approximate magnification of 119,599X, shows the ultrastructural morphology of a Legionella pneumophila bacterium, the etiologic agent of Legionnaires’ disease. The organism was cultivated in the yolk sac of an embryonated hen’s egg.
