Captured in 1963, this historic image shows Communicable Disease Center (CDC) medical entomologist Dr. George H. Bradley, at left, receiving a framed illustration from fellow medical entomologist Dr. Harry D. Pratt during his retirement party, held in the CDC auditorium on the Roybal Campus in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. The illustration depicts Anopheles bradleyi, a mosquito species identified by Dr. Bradley and Dr. W. V. King in 1939. Seated in the background are CDC Executive Officer George B. Trammel and former CDC Director James L. Goddard, MD, MS.
