This image, captured in 1962, depicts Centers for Disease Control (CDC) entomologist Dr. Harry D. Pratt standing at the front of a classroom, teaching a course on the identification of mosquito species. Dr. Pratt is shown using a flannel board, which allowed illustrated anatomical components of the mosquitoes to be arranged on the surface to aid in instruction.
