This image depicted a group portrait of the attendees to what had been the Communicable Disease Center’s (CDC) 15th Annual Program Review and Planning Conference that was held on the Roybal Campus Headquarters in Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia between May 29 – June 2, 1961. Attendees included members of the CDC’s Training Branch Headquarters, all Regional Training Consultants, all Regional Chiefs, CDC Services, Chief of the Division of Environmental Engineering and Food Protection, Mr. Wesley Gilbertson, and Training Branch, Division of Community Health Practices, Dr. Elmer Hill. Not pictured was CDC Director, Clarence A. Smith, MD, MPH, Dr. James Shafer, former CDC Director, Assistant Director, David J. Sencer, MD, MPH, and Dr. E. Gillispie.
