This 1961 image was captured during a visit paid to the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) by the former Yugoslavian Surgeon General, Dr. Krause, who was seated in the middle, between CDC Chief of the Epidemiology Branch, Dr. Alexander Langmuir on the left, and Veterinary Disease Director, James H. Steele, DVM, MPH. The three men were discussing a cache of literature, as they were seated inside one of the offices on the CDC’s Headquarters on the Roybal Campus, in Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia.
